Fall is in the Air as Summer Twitters Away

Ok, I finally jumped into the Twitter foray with a bunch of my friends, and am now an official Twit :) If you are on Twitter, contact/follow me here. I'm still not sure what I'm doing on Twitter, so if I make any major mistakes, please forgive my newbieness. I picked that Twitter button for my blog because the little birdie looks like how I feel trying to learn all of this new stuff...I think I need a Twitter Tutor ~ is there such a thing?

So, there's been an Autumn chill in the air here this week, school is back in session (the bus stop that meets at the end of my driveway is full of little kiddies again, after having dwindled from my children and their neighborhood companions growing up), and I've been petting fall fabrics. We just got in the Pumpkins & Spice collection designed by Whimsicals for Red Rooster in the shop. So cute, and there is a stripe in the line that will make a wonderful quick tablerunner!

I'm currently working on Harvest Moon by Pat Sloan. I have the background pieced, and I hope to get some done on the applique this weekend while I'm working at the shop. I'm adding a little wool to this one. You can also find the pattern for this quilt in Pat's Folksy Favorites book. Hopefully I'll have something to show of it next week!

I'm not attempting to make this one right now because there are only so many hours in the day, but I just love Baltimore Halloween by P3 Designs. It's just so cute and creative! This may have to go on the someday list :)

I'm sure we will be going back to some summertime weather again before Autumn is really here, but the combination of the nice crisp mornings, and working on my Trick or Treat bags has really gotten me in the Fall Holiday spirit...hmmm, I wonder if they have candy corn out in the grocery store yet...

Enjoy the day!

I think your twitter button is perfect! Ah, yes I think almost all kids are back in school. There may be some that start after the Labor Day. Then we should start seeing a lot more creativity amongst bloggers! :0)
I really like the Pumpkins and Spice Collection. It looks warm and inviting!

I just got hooked on hand applique and absolutely love that Baltimore style Halloween quilt. Of course, I'm overwhelmed with Christmas projects right now...but that quilt is on my short list! It's just amazing!
