A Quick Snowy Hello

Stopping in to say a quick hello between working on deadline projects and meetings with my Dad's social workers and doctors. We're trying to catch up on all of the canceled appointments and tasks that were postponed due our week of snow.

Here is my finished block number two of Bunny Hill Designs Snowbound. It was an appropriate block to work on this week while we were actually snowbound :)

While housebound, I also spent time cutting out some quilt projects ~ sometimes I get in a cutting mood, and now I have four quilts completely cut out and ready to sew, sew, sew! I even cut out some Jo Morton charm packs with my left overs.

So for the Jo Morton fans out there, I have made available a couple of charm packs of 25 assorted 5 inch squares of Jo Morton fabrics here in my Etsy store. Let me know what you make with yours!

Enjoy the day!
~ Dawn

Your snowman block looks adorable! Sometimes I cut out projects and bag them, too. (Of course, sometimes they then sit for a LONG time before I look at them again...LOL)

Your blocks are just adorable. I scrolled to go find the other one as well. Love the background you are stitching them on. Thanks for your visit to my blog. If you scroll down a few post you can see where I cut tons of Jo fabric into charms, 2.5" strips and also 1.5" strips. I even used the charms for Schnibbles Picnic pattern.

Your snowman block is so cute. I think I am going to prep the second block today. I got the first one done this past week.

Dawn, I love the background on your snowman. Do you remember the name of that particular fabric? We've been snowed in all week here in South Jersey, too. Hope your Dad is doing well.

The first thing I thought was how I loved the background you are using for the snowmen! Then I skimmed over some of your other commentators and found that they all agreed! You're doing a great job with the Snowbound project!! I love seeing the Jo Morton fabrics all cut and ready to go. You said you have four quilts ready now wow that's a lot. I look forward to seeing what you do with them! :0)

Love you snowman block Dawn! What did you use for the snowman part of the applique?
Yes, love the background too!

Rita ~ The background fabric is from the Civil War II collection from Windham fabrics #20785 (It's older, I've had it in my stash for a while). I hope you are enjoying your snow days in NJ!

Mary ~ I used a piece of cotton batting and the fusible applique method for the snowman body.

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone!
