Super Mail Day!

I had a super good mail day! This is a little goodie package from Karen Way over at Sew Many Ways. I won one of her Sharing on Sunday Give-Aways! She is having a new give-away every Sunday as a thank you to her blog readers. I've been a follower of hers for a while now, and really like her Tool Time Tuesday posts ~ so hurry on over there today and check it out :) Thanks Karen!

The other great mail I got was fabric!! These are some brand new goodies from Moda that I have put in my ebay store fabric section and they are going quickly! And I've added some Kona Cottons in great reproduction colors ~ Rich Red, Bone, Khaki & Black for those Baltimore Album and Civil War quilts. All are Free Shipping, so the price you see is what you pay!

I'm also always adding great book finds to the ebay store, and I have a bunch more fabrics that I will be adding in the next weeks, (even some Jo Morton fabrics) so check back often!

Enjoy the day!

Any Honey Bee Sightings Yet?

I haven't had any honey bee sightings in my garden yet, so I made this wool felt picture from a pattern that I got at Quilt Market. It's called Faith...Family...Friends by Ewe-nique Creations, and the pattern makes three 8" x 10" framed pictures of different flowers and primitive words stitched on, and each one has a little honey bee (If you like to work with wool I have one pattern left here in my ebay store).

I only made this one, it is "Faith" and the flower is Lavender Larkspur. I love how the flower, leaves and bee are 3 dimensional, you can almost smell the lavender!

I framed it in a black oval frame that has a vintage feel that I found at Joanne's Fabrics. (And for anyone who is not into working with wool, I have the finished product for sale here in my etsy store.)

Enjoy the day!

Quality Time with the Day Planner

My day started this morning with having some dental work done, and then going over to the college and paying my son's tuition bill. So I knew things could only go up from there :)

So since this afternoon was a beautiful day, I came home, got comfortable in my gazebo (why not in the gazebo, right?), and spent some quality time with my day planner, laptop, and "scribble book". This was much needed quality time, as I really had to catch up on some things and do some centering. I'm a planner and list maker and I was feeling a bit unfocused lately. Now I'm planned out for a few months and feel a little better about being able to get to everything that needs to get done.

...And with my computer time today I finally got my Etsy store up and running! I've been anxious to start selling on Etsy because I just love this site's focus on Handmade. I still have some cosmetic things to add to the store to spruce it up, and I'll be adding more items on an ongoing basis, but I'm open for business! I still have the ebay store too, and will keep the Etsy store for my finished handmade items and patterns (you can purchase Spring Water Designs patterns in either place). So check it out, Etsy is a great site! I'll have the buttons on my sidebar for ease in getting to either store anytime.

Enjoy!
