Making the Best of Things

We got yet even more snow yesterday ~ about another foot on top of what we had gotten over the weekend. Heather brought her cat Maddie and came to our house to get snowed in with us. So Maddie and Butters are getting to play together again, but even they are weary of the snow.

This is our backyard, and that's a four foot fence.

So armed with Heather's football cake from the Superbowl Party that was snowed out Sunday, we made the best of it and spent the day stitching and snacking. She worked on punchneedle, and I did some hand applique.

This is block number four of our Women of Influence Block of the Month that we're doing at the shop...done :)

Enjoy the day!

You really did make the best of being snowed in. I've tried a little punch needle, but need to do a little more to really get the hang of it.

Stay cozy!

I'm sorry I must be nuts but I don't mind being snowed in as long as all my chickens are home too. Your flower is certainly a ray of sunshine!

My daughter also had quite a bit more snow from this last storm. She is beginning to feel a bit stir crazy as she put it. She is bored and is looking forward to returning to her classes which remain cancelled as of yet. It must be nice for you to have all your children home. :0)
Your hand applique from Women of Influence is coming along nicely!
