Good Customer Service Still Exists!

We had our weekend of family fun, and Lisa's baby shower went off without a hitch, so all is good here. But I especially wanted to share a wonderful surprise and bonus that was the cherry on top of my special weekend. Here's the back story:
I made this Jo Morton Holiday Inn quilt for our Jo club, and it's one of my favorites. I got it quilted and finished in time for our guild's quilt show in April, and I had in mind for it to hang in my "new" kitchen. In the past I've admired the pieces made by David Reiner of D.W.R. Custom Wookworking at quilt shows that I've attended, so I thought I'd check out his hangers. I saw that he would have a booth at the quilt show in Annapolis that was last Saturday, June 12th, so instead of buying it online, I figured I'd make the trek over there and pick out my quilt hanger in person, and have it up in time for the baby shower I was hosting on the following Saturday, June 19th.
So, fast forward to June 12th ~ I showed up at the Annapolis Quilt Guild's show (great show by the way, and I do have a couple of pictures that I'll share this week) with my sample wood piece from my cabinet doors in hand in the hopes of finding a finish for the quilt hanger that would coordinate. I spoke to David at his booth first thing and unfortunately he did not have with him the size or style that I had in mind, but he pulled out is finish samples, and was able to match my cabinet door sample perfectly. So I placed my order to have the quilt hanger of my specifications made and shipped to me. In passing, while writing up the order, David asked me when I needed the quilt hanger by, and I said jokingly that I had wanted it for my party on the following Saturday at 2:00 p.m. but knew that was out. So I enjoyed the rest of the quilt show and vendors, but left resigned to the fact that I would still have the large empty wall in my kitchen for the party. Then I pretty much let it go, and went about my week of party preparation adventures.
...Well, on Friday, June 18th I came home to a large package on my front porch which turned out to be my finished custom quilt hanger! David had made note of my party date, and crafted it and shipped it to me in time for us to have it up and ready for all to see ~ within one week! This was such wonderful service, he even called me to make sure that it had arrived in time, that I wanted to share my story with you. It's refreshing to come across a company with such good business practices and attention to customer service. I love my new quilt hanger ~it's perfect, and I recommend D.W.R. Custom Woodworking very highly!

Enjoy the day!
~ Dawn
