This was the first weekend this spring that was beautiful weather and I didn't have to work the shop, so I spent it mostly outside. Sunday morning we decided to get up early and meet Lisa, Cory and Elsie in DC. We parked at Haines Point at the Tidal Basin and headed over to the Memorials.
And walked back around the Tidal Basin to our cars. It was a hot day in DC, getting up to about 92 degrees, but there was a breeze blowing and low humidity (92 in April is a lot different than 92 in August here in the Mid-Atlantic region).
I didn't get to much sewing this weekend ~ although I did finish the binding on my next magazine quilt in the evenings (we'll have a sneak peek of that one this week), but it was still a very productive weekend. Washing the car in the sunshine, smelling fresh cut grass for the first time in 2009, and having a picnic in DC with some of my favorite people in the world...it doesn't get much better than that :)
Enjoy the day!
